Description

How has social media impacted the mental health of American teens?

We hope you and your guest can join community partners in education, government, business, and in our communities for the third annual Valley Summit, hosted by Valley Oaks Health.

As we’ve all noticed, today’s kids are tethered to technology for communications and most entertainment. They regularly engage on social media with friends near and far, look for role models via “influencers”, and can communicate in ways that are both more artistic and secluded from others than past generations. To explore this topic, our keynote speaker, Dr. Delaney Ruston, will dive into the impact of the smartphone lifestyle on teenagers in America and tackle some common-sense solutions.

Delaney Ruston is a Stanford-trained physician, filmmaker, and international speaker who fosters social change. She is the creator of Screenagers, an award-winning film about raising successful youth in the digital age, which has been screened in over 50 countries to +2 million people.

It's time to build a mentally healthier future, together. Join us!
